Why this site?
Over the last few months of browsing I have found loads of sites, but nearly all relating to pro news. This may be the aspirations for alot of people, but then there are others who just take patr for the fun, the thrill and the family.
Whats different to other Rodeo Sites?
Well my aim here is to povide the one source for all your rodeo needs, whether it be news, finding your nearest rodeo complete with contacts, equipment suppliers, practice pens or just so you can catch up with results from your favourite local rodeos
Coverage of Local Rodeos?
I want to provide a site with information that is up to date and current for results from local grass roots rodeo. To give a place where riders and competitors past & present can find information about where they started. While also highlighting some local talent, whether an old hand or new up and comer
Rodeo_World's Creator?
I started late with this great sport and know Ill never turn pro. Having spent my formative years growing up in Northern Ireland I went through University in Cardiff, Wales. During this time I played US Football for 13 years until a knee injury sidelined my playing days.
I witnessed my first ever live rodeo when I was 30 at the Kissimmee Rodeo, Florida on holiday to the USA. Little was I to know that 2 years laterin Sept'05 I would be attending a Sankey Bull Riding School in N.Carolina. What can I say I had a great weekend and everyone was great, just grin and bear it and ride through those numerous stomps, kicks, bruises and buck-offs.
The next year I travelled from England across to Germany to compete in the European Rodeo Cowboys Association for around 12 weekends. What a blast that was during those weekends, bull riding and my first introductions to Wild Horse Racing and having a go at Bareback bronc, something I said I wouldnt ever do.
Please bare with us as the site is updated, as we change to the new layout
